Description
Located on the ground floor of an old fisherman's cottage in the heart of Downalong, Surfers Nest started life as a net store and fish cellar for the cottage above. Only a few minute's level walk to Fore Street, the harbour and beaches. Providing good basic accommodation, this studio is ideal for the solo traveller or couples who want to be in the heart of town.

Breakfast bar with stools, electric cooker, microwave, fridge, stainless steel sink with a tiled surround and small water heater. Window with roller blind overlooking Teetotal Street.

What a great find, central to all we wanted from St Ives. Although small, everything we needed inside the property was there and everything worked. There is the potential to have some disruption if you have noisy neighbours above, we didn't, but TV could clearly be heard. This did not detract from our stay – we loved our little home from home which was great value for the area. Host was very responsive with communication – thanks.
June 12, 2023Very nice and cosy little apartment. Clean and tidy. Had all the basic equipment you might need. Very friendly and helpful landlord. The landlord was very easy to reach and not least prompt when we needed their help. In addition, the general info was very good with good instructions and necessary info by email in advance of your stay and in addition its own book with all desirable info available in the apartment. Very professional. Only minus must be that the bathroom was very small. The apartment also had a slightly raw basement smell that probably comes from moisture. But overall the place was very good and I could imagine going back.
