Description
This comfortable fisherman's cottage (part of our budget-friendly range) is only a second’s walk from the Island car park, Porthmeor and Porthgwidden beaches. The Harbour and town are a short stroll away through historic Downalong. Built over 2 floors, Lower Deck is typical of many properties of its type in the town, having been subdivided from its upstairs neighbour long ago. Sharing the use of a small courtyard with its sister property, The Lookout, where the bin store and key safe are located.
Ground Floor
Sitting/dining room. 2 x 2 seater sofa, 32" Logik HD ready TV, new cabinet and electric ‘dragon’ radiator. Dining table with seating for 4.
Galley kitchen. Fully fitted with modern units, fridge, electric cooker, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave.
Bedroom 2. Small room with captain's beds with a pull-out trundle bed underneath, hanging cupboard and drawer unit. Ideal kids' room.

Bedroom 1. Double bed, large built-in cupboard, new chest of drawers, and wall-mounted TV.
Newly fitted shower room. Walk-in shower, wash basin with mirror and storage above, WC and heated towel rail.
Heating is by portable electric heaters and is cosy and comfortable even in the depths of winter.
For those interested in walking, this property, together with The Lookout, is within yards of the South West Coastal Path. The properties can be combined for larger groups of 8 to benefit from 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms.

Lovely Cornish cottage! Great access to beaches.
July 26, 2025Thank you for making our stay in beautiful St Ives so comfortable. Lower Deck provided everything we needed for our holiday week and was ideally situated and convenient for exploring St Ives and the surrounding area.
May 16, 2025The only 'problem' we encountered which you may need to investigate was the water tap in the bathroom sink. It works perfectly well until turned to the hot setting when the flow of water stops to a drip, so only the cold water can be used. Other than that, we were very happy with the cottage and had a wonderful week in St Ives! Thank you, again for making the whole experience enjoyable, we will look forward to using Cornish Riviera again in the future 🫠.
This property has an amazing location with quick walking distance to Porthmeor, porthgwidden and the harbour and town. Is also handy for parking on the island car park but get there early if you want a space! Bedrooms and kitchen very clean. Windows need to be open in summer as gets hot but street is very noisy with traffic and seagulls would be the only bit for guests to be aware of. Would still stay here again as the benefits outweigh the noise.
