Easter is a beautiful time to stay in St Ives. The wildflowers, daffodils, tulips are out and there’s just the fresh warm feel of spring air. Here’s our suggestion to enjoy Easter in and around St Ives.
Easter Egg hunts
We all loved waking up on Easter Sunday morning to hunt for those Easter eggs that our parents squirrelled away. Well, why not do that in one of our family holiday homes in St Ives? Or, if you want your children to participate in one of the many Easter Egg hunts happening locally, here are some suggestions:
- Paradise Park in Hayle
- Flambards, Helston
- Eden Project, St Austell
- National Trust teams up with Cadbury every year to run egg hunts in many of its properties. The local houses and gardens participating nearby are
- Trengwainton Garden, Penzance
- Godolphin, Helston
- East Pool Mine, Redruth
- Trerice, Newquay
- Holywell, Newquay
- Glendurgan Garden, Falmouth
- Trelissick Gardens, Falmouth. (Trelissick Gardens is our favourite).
What to do in St Ives
Get creative at Leach Pottery's 'Clay Days' or at Tate St Ives' 'Tate Create' events. Why not make your own Easter eggs at I Should Coco chocolate workshops or if you fancy hunting down the murderer in the 'Murder Mystery Treasure Trail', pop into the Library in St Ives for a pack.
