Property image5 Harry’s Court is the distinctive pink cottage with prime position on Porthmeor Beach and has been owned by the same family for over 60 years.

Built in to the seawall, it enjoys elevated, panoramic views over the glorious surfing beach from most rooms and the balcony. Within a matter of yards is the world-renowned Tate St Ives and all around is a fine selection of cafes and restaurants.

The cottage is approached by a few stone steps that lead down to a charming courtyard of former fishermen’s dwellings. The top cottage was once the home of celebrated St Ives artist Alfred Wallis. The historic character of the property with its beamed ceilings and period features has been lovingly preserved.

Ground Floor

Kitchen

Plentiful worktops and appliances and a small breakfast table with 6 chairs. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. Overlooks the courtyard.

Sitting/dining room

A very spacious room with fabulous views overlooking the beach and attractive period furniture. At one end it has a traditional oak dining table with 6 chairs and at the other a three-seater settee, two armchairs and a rocking chair arranged around a traditional brick fireplace with fitted gas fire. TV.

The large walk-in bay window has seating to enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Porthmeor beach where passing boats, holiday makers and surfing enthusiasts can be observed during the day and romantic sunsets savoured late into the evening.

Off this alcove is a long, wooden balcony area for sitting out in privacy with sweeping views of the bay.

WC and washbasin via utility room off the kitchen.

First Floor

Steep turning stairs lead to the landing and

Bedroom 1

Double bed. Fitted bedside tables, shelves and wardrobe. Antique furniture includes a chest of drawers, mirror and 2 chairs. Wash basin. Window seat with glorious sea views.

Bedroom 2

Twin beds. Built in wardrobe and shelves. Antique furniture includes dressing table, bedside tables and chair. This spacious room also has a window seat with stunning sea views and window over the courtyard.

Bedroom 3

Twin 2’6 beds. Antique furniture includes writing table, chair and chest of drawers. Hooks for hanging clothes and wash basin. This smaller room looks on to the courtyard.

Bathroom. Bath, wash basin and WC and natural lighting.

Small shower room.

Please be aware that this cottage is very traditional and has not been refurbished or modernised in recent years.

Heating is by storage heaters and portable electric heaters.

All carpeted apart from the kitchen and wash rooms.

Please note the children must be supervised due to the nature of the windows.

A short distance away is a garage with one reserved parking place which is included in the rental.
