    This comfortable fisherman's cottage is only a second’s walk from the Island car park, Porthmeor and Porthgwidden beaches. The Harbour and town are a short stroll away through historic Downalong. Built over 2 floors, Lower Deck is typical of many properties of its type in the town having been subdivided from its upstairs neighbour long ago. Sharing the use of a small courtyard with its sister property, The Lookout, where the bins, key box and beach equipment storage are located.

    Sitting/dining room. 2 seater sofa and 2 new easy chairs , 32" Logik HD ready TV, new cabinet and electric ‘dragon’ radiator. Dining table with seating for 4.

    Galley kitchen. Fully fitted with modern units, fridge, electric cooker, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave.

    Bedroom 2. Small twin room with two 2 ft 6" beds, hanging cupboard and drawer unit.

    Bedroom 1. Double bed, large built in cupboard, new chest of drawers and wall mounted TV.

    Newly fitted shower room. Walk-in shower, wash basin with mirror and storage above, WC and heated towel rail.

    Heating is by electric heaters and is cosy and comfortable even in the depths of winter.

    For those interested in walking, this property, together with The Lookout, is within yards of the South West Coastal Path. The properties can be combined for larger groups of 8/9 to benefit from 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms.

      A fantastic location we couldn’t have asked for better! The bedding and bathroom were very clean and all amenities listed were available! A great base location and given the area is so beautiful and there is so much to see and do, you tend to only rest your head there! The team were super helpful when we needed to stay an extra night due to rail strikes! Would definitely stay again!!!

      Great location – 5 mins to several amazing beaches, pubs, restaurants and shops. Enough to do within walking distance to not need to use your car all week. Property has everything you need and all works well. Decor is a bit dated and seemed smaller than the pictures alluded to, but not a significant issue. House is terraced and 4 stories so occasional noise. It’s on the main thoroughfare from the seafront to the Island car park so be mindful if you have small children when stepping out of the front door as there’s no pavement. Clear and simple instructions for use of the property meant it was easy to relax and not worry about anything. We really enjoyed our time here and would recommend this location and accommodation and would not hesitate in coming back to this exact same property. St Ives is definitely our new happy place.
