2 Island Square is a Grade II listed three storey former fisherman’s cottage built around 1850. It is perfectly situated in the heart of St.Ives’ conservation area of Downalong, and is minutes from both Porthmeor and Porthgwidden beaches, the harbour and the Tate Gallery.

This cottage has been sympathetically restored throughout to the highest standard with great attention to detail, and a wealth of original features reinstated to protect its character. It has a light, contemporary interior with white painted granite and panelled walls, quality furnishings, luxurious bathrooms and excellent amenities throughout,including free WiFi internet access.

All bedrooms have oak flooring, sliding sash double glazed windows, wooden painted Venetian blinds, flat screen TVs and bed linen included. The addition of gas central heating via traditional column radiators in all rooms makes it a perfect retreat for a winter break.

Bedroom 2. Full size custom made bunk beds suitable for adults, with quality mattresses and pull out storage drawers underneath. Additional clothes hanging and storage unit, corner shelf and lamp. View to the Island.

Bathroom 1. Natural porcelain tiled floor, spacious circular walk-in power shower, Duravit wash basin with mixer tap, WC, glass ceiling lighting, mirror light with illuminated panels, heated towel rail.

Landing area. Built-in wardrobe with hanging space and shelves.

Bedroom 3. Wooden painted double bed with quality mattress, wardrobe, Laura Ashley chest of drawers and bedside table, reading lamp, mirror and hairdryer.

Bathroom 2. Natural porcelain tiled floor. Contemporary suite with full size bath, wash basin, WC, mirror light with illuminated panels, glass wall light, clothes tidy and heated towel rail. View over rooftops to the sea.
