A charming granite ‘upstairs’ cottage ideally located in Downalong, the heart of old St.Ives. The beaches of Porthmeor, Porthgwidden and the harbour are all within a two minute stroll whilst the cottage is also conveniently located for The Island car park.

Up the steps, past the bench overlooking the quiet street and enter through the stable front door into:

Open-plan kitchen/sitting/dining room. This carpeted room has a light and airy feel yet still retains some original character with features such as the beamed ceiling.

Kitchen/dining area. The kitchen has been completely refurbished for 2010. Appliances include gas hob, electric oven, fridge, microwave and washing machine. The dining table comfortably accommodates four.

Sitting room area. Two comfortable settees, occasional table, coal effect electric fire and TV with freeview, DVD and a Hi-Fi. There is also a bookcase with a selection of books and DVDs for guests to enjoy.

Bedroom 1. Double bed, vanity wash basin, bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Bedroom 2. Two single beds, vanity wash basin, wardrobe and drawers.

Bathroom. Bath with electric shower and WC.

Accessible by stairs from the first floor landing.

Reading/playroom. This room is carpeted and has 2 poufs, TV with freeview and X-Box games console with a selection of games as well as several traditional board games. It is equally suitable as a quiet area to escape to for reading and relaxing, although is not suitable as an additional bedroom due to its low ceiling. From here there are views of both the harbour and The Island through the Velux windows.

Storage heaters and coal-effect electric fire in the sitting room keep the cottage nice and warm for cosy winter breaks.

Bed linen is included in the rental.
