No. 9 Mount Pleasant was built around 1840 and originally used as a miner's cottage. It is situated at the top of Ayr Lane, which runs adjacent to the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. Although Ayr Lane is a peaceful location, the bustle of Fore Street is only a few minutes away. The beaches, shops and Tate St.Ives are all within walking distance. It has been furnished by the owner in a traditional style, to include old pine furniture, paintings and prints by local artists and a selection of books for guests' use.
