Built over 200 years ago as a Sail Loft, this former artist’s studio is full of the natural light St Ives is famous for. It has been thoughtfully modernised, retaining it’s original character, including deep whitewashed granite walls and exposed timbers.

Norway House Studio is situated in the heart of Downalong on the south side of the picturesque Porthmeor Square. It sits away from the main thoroughfare and yet is ideally located for all the shops, pubs, restaurants and galleries St Ives has to offer. The harbour, Porthmeor and Porthgwidden beaches are only metres away, as is the Tate Gallery and Island Car Park. It is an ideal place for a relaxing summer holiday or winter break.

The accommodation is on two floors and is tastefully furnished. It is carpeted throughout, apart from the kitchen and bathroom areas.

Entrance. A half-glazed stable door opens into the hallway.

Large sitting/dining room. A fabulously spacious and light-filled room with windows on three sides plus skylights. Comfortable settee, double bed settee with storage under and two armchairs, coffee table, long window seat and large pine dining table with seating for 8. Flat screen TV/DVD, CD and stereo system.

Kitchen. Leading through from the sitting room, this bright room is well equipped with electric cooker, stainless steel microwave, fridge, washing machine and toaster. There are ample storage cupboards and good working surfaces.

Bedroom 1. Double 5’ bed, Flat screen TV/DVD, chest of drawers, bedside tables with lamps, double wardrobe, dressing table, comfortable chair. Whitewashed walls and exposed ceiling beams.

Bedroom 2. Triple room with 2’ 6” single bed, side table and lamp plus pair of full length bunk beds. Built-in drawers and wardrobe. Whitewashed walls and exposed ceiling beams.

Bathroom. Recently fitted with full sized bath and shower, hand basin with storage underneath, heated towel rail and WC, window with extraction.

Heating by storage heaters and free-standing oil heaters..

Small well-trained dogs accepted by arrangement.
