A popular holiday home for some years, this light, spacious Victorian house has recently been renovated to offer stylish, comfortable, and flexible accommodation for groups and families. Located in a peaceful area, yet Tate St Ives, Barbara Hepworth museum, shops, galleries and beaches are all within a few minutes’ walk. The secluded paved garden gives space for al fresco eating, barbecues and sunbathing; and has views over St Ives Bay to Godrevy Point.
The hall leads from the front door to the living room and the kitchen beyond.
The large, open plan living room has a sitting area with a comfortable 4 seater sofa, easy chair and beanbags. There is a flat screen TV and DVD. An electric stove is fitted into the antique pine fireplace. Modern prints throughout the house add to the contemporary feel. French doors open onto the garden.
In the dining area, the table seats eight. A night storage heater provides warmth when needed. The sideboard drawers hold maps, games and useful local information; and there is a CD player with radio and ipod dock. A large shuttered opening gives onto the kitchen.
The kitchen has been recently upgraded and refitted, with an electric oven and ceramic hob, washing machine, slimline dishwasher and fridge freezer. The large circular table has bench seating and extra folding chairs. There is a shower cubicle for use after the beach. The kitchen door opens onto Bowling Green Terrace, the best place to unload the car.
The spacious bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC.
A second WC is accessed from the landing.
