This granite built former fisherman’s cottage is ideally situated in the heart of old Downalong, minutes from the harbour front, the sandy beaches of Porthmeor and Porthgwidden and the Island car park. With central heating and coal-effect gas fire it is equally suitable for cosy winter holidays as for summer beach breaks.

Extensive renovations in recent years result in a characterful cottage with some very modern facilities. Fresh colours throughout give a light and airy feel. New and antique furnishings combine to create a real home from home.

Sitting room. Stable door opens in to this room with laminate flooring, beamed ceiling and reclaimed coal-effect gas fire with pine surround. Furnishings include comfortable settee, wicker chair and pouf. Nicam TV, video and Hi-Fi with DVD/CD player. Glass panelled pine door leads through to:

Kitchen/dining room. Spacious room with reclaimed Mexican tiled floor. The most prominent feature is a new stainless steel 6-ring cooker with matching extractor hood. Integrated appliances include a fridge, washing machine and dishwasher alongside a stainless steel microwave with grill, chrome toaster and kettle. The cosy nature of this room is enhanced by a large Victorian pine dresser and farmhouse table which comfortably seats six.

Back stable door leads to south facing quiet pedestrian walkway with garden bench.

Bedroom 1. King size double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet, portable TV. (Space for a cot, not included)

Bedroom 2. Double bed, chest of drawers, coat hooks.

Bedroom 3. Two single beds, large antique pine wardrobe, set of drawers.

All bedrooms are very comfortably furnished with cast iron curtain poles and attractive curtains, bedside lamps, clocks, mirrors and many interesting paintings, prints and photographs.

Bathroom. Tiled flooring and part wood panelling and mosaic tiled walls with white reproduction Victorian bathroom suite of bath, sink and toilet. Victorian style thermostat controlled chrome shower unit, taps, fittings and heated towel rail.
