Important info

1. All of our properties are regularly checked and meet or exceed the minimum standards of the Cornwall Tourist Board & South West Tourism for self catering accommodation. All are comfortably furnished and well-equipped but may, in some cases, be more simple than your own home. Our policies, practices and procedures have been assessed by Visit Britain and we are a quality accredited agency (AQA).

2. All our fisherman’s cottages are well over 100 years old and have been modernised, without losing their original character and charm, by their individual owners. Most are built of granite which is porous and with our humid climate can be prone to dampness especially out of season. Some people, particularly asthma sufferers, the elderly and young children, may find this uncomfortable.

3. Photographs have been taken with a wide-angle lens which can exaggerate the impression of a room’s size.

4. All are equipped with crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, fridge, kettle, toaster, iron and board, colour TV etc. Where applicable and unless otherwise stated in the descriptions double beds are 4’6.

5. All beds have duvets and pillows.
Linen is not provided, unless specifically stated in the property descriptions and must be brought or hired from Cornish Riviera Holidays in advance (beds are not prepared when linen is hired). It must be used in addition to any protective covers that owners may provide.
You should bring your own towels, tea towels and bath mats.

6. Parking in St.Ives can be difficult. Some of our properties do have parking spaces (see property index) and we also offer a limited number of reserved spaces at time of booking. Weekly “rover” tickets are available from the machines in most council car parks in town. You will need approximately £30 in coins but you are not guaranteed a space.

7. Electricity and gas are included in the rental.

8. A returnable Damage Deposit of £100 is payable with the balance on all bookings.

9. A booking fee of £15 has been introduced in order to cover increased expenditure in agency accreditation, banking and insurance costs.

10. Dogs are accepted in a few of our properties (see property index) but please note most of the beaches do not allow dogs between Easter Day and October the 1st.

11. Arrival. Keys are to be collected from our office on the day of arrival between 3pm & 5pm (or 7pm in high season) as explained on your receipt of full payment.

12. Departure. Keys must be returned to our office by 10am on the day of departure. The property must be left clean and tidy (see conditions of booking 10).

13. An info pack with details of the property and useful local information is left in each property.

14. Bookings for next year are provisional and will not be confirmed until November. Send us a completed booking form with your choices at any time. No deposit is required until bookings have been confirmed. Guests wishing to re-book for the same property/date must do so before November the 1st.
