Trencrom Hill is the site of an Iron Age hill fort with views over the rural area around St.Ives, Gwithian and Penzance and as far as The Lizard and Newquay on a clear day. It is strewn with interesting rock formations and standing stones and can be reached by foot via The St.Michael's Way.

Zennor Quoit is an ancient burial site. It overlooks the Atlantic ocean and is within walking distance of the famous Zennor Church and the Tinner's Arms public house.

Knill's Monument(The Steeple) was built by a local man John Knill in 1767 as a mausoleum - although it was rumoured that it may well have been a landmark for smugglers. There is a gentle walk up The Belyars from Porthminster Beach and there is a refreshing loop via The Halsetown Inn or down to the Coastal footpath at Carbis Bay.
