Possibly the closest house to the sea in St Ives, The Cabin has unimpeded views of the harbour and across the bay. This highly individual property is steeped in history and retains much of its original character. D H Lawrence stayed here during WW1 and it was home and studio to Algernon Talmage whilst tutoring at the St Ives Art School at the beginning of the 20th century. The Cabin is all on one level and approached by a small flight of seven steps from street level. It has traditional painted panelled walls, and stripped floorboards and is spacious and light with breathtaking views from all five seaward-facing windows.
